We are back in Nairobi after a great week in Zambia!
As we had suspected, we were not able to access the internet while we were there. But the conference went very well. We can't wait to get back and post pictures.
We had 53 pastor/wife couples. They are very committed Christians and very receptive to God's message on marriage. We had good interaction with them. They loved every morsel of information we could give them.
One of the most important messages to them was on forgiveness, which we have often experienced when teaching on marriage. They also latched onto the idea that their enemy is not their spouse, but it is Satan.
There were several there who are HIV positive. All of them are concerned with getting AIDS. Our information on the sexual relationship of a husband and wife and on HIV/AIDS was very important to them.
Jacque did a great job in the schools. She got to speak 6 times. She spoke in 4 schools. She also spoke to 60+ adults who were at a one day training for abstinence education training, which Mike Jestes, on our team, did for a variety of professionals there. Many came from the Ndola police department, etc. She also spoke to our pastors/wives conference at the end of the parenting teaching on how important her relationship to her dad is. She has enjoyed the trip a lot.
We left Ndola yesterday morning at 5:30 am and didn't get to our hotel in Nairobi until 7 pm. It was a long day, but today has been easier and more restful.
We will be on vacation until we start back Wednesday night. We are looking forward to sharing more after we return.
We appreciate all your prayers and would ask for you to continue to pray for our health and safety. Be assured that God's message on marriage will be brought to hundreds of others within a week and thousands of others within a year!
