HEADED HOME!

We are leaving in about an hour to go to the airport. Please pray for a good trip home, good health, rest on the plane, safety, and for all our bags to make it home with us!

We have had a great trip. We met with ALARM's east Africa director yesterday. He continued to share how much the teaching had meant to those who attended. He said to us over and over "The teaching was so Biblical. You were not just teaching them on marriage, but you were teaching them theology also."

Ed's teaching on stewardship really got things stirred up. After we left the participants continued to discuss the subject. They were asked by our hosts in Burundi about who should do the work to provide for the family - they said that the husband and wife both should. When asked who should care for the children and teach them and take care of the home, they should the wives should alone. When asked who should handle the money and make the money decisions, they said the men should. They confirmed their culture's bias against women. The women do more than their share of the work and child-rearing but have no input in financial decisions.

We will be home soon and looking forward to posting pictures on our blog, www.livingwellokc.blogspot.com .
