All was going well until early May – then Ed had a stroke! Fortunately, it was considered a “small stroke” in the right cerebellum. His symptoms were predominately a lack of coordination on his right side. He had to use a walker and it was harder to do tasks with his right hand. Fortunately, his speech and cognitive ability were not affected.

And we were moving!
He started physical therapy and occupational therapy right away. But he couldn’t drive. Donna drove him twice a week across town for therapy.
And we were moving!
We learned a way for Ed to help with packing from a sitting position.
We did banking, recorded donations, sent money to Zambia.
We coordinated inspections, movers, contracts, doctors’ appointments . . .
Did we mention that we were moving?
The truth that God taught Paul and wrote to us in 2 Corinthians 12:9 became very real, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”

| Movers driving away |
By June 15th, we were ready to close on both houses, on the same day!
Ed continues in physical therapy but he now drives. He is able to do most tasks that he could do before the stroke – only slower. He is expected to make a full recovery.
We are settled in our new home and thank God every day for his provision!

We have a new home with less maintenance, in a quiet, safe neighborhood, and with a sense of community with the people who live here.
We can’t begin to described how much God has blessed us and given us joy amidst all of the health struggles and stress.
THANK YOU again for your continued prayers, support, and encouragement. We depend on Him but also the prayers of all of you. We could not do what we do without YOU!
Our love in Christ,
Donna and Ed Edwards
P.S. Please continue to pray for Ed’s health and strength.

The water that I will give him
will become in him
a well of water springing up to eternal life.

LIVING WELL is a life source, not a life style.
